Take On a Miracle

I recently read a concept “that all great accomplishments require four things:  a dream, action, patience, and a whole bunch of miracles”. We do not dream from our mind; we dream from our heart. It is time to fall madly in love with the dream so you can’t help but want to be it, from the inside out.

Programming. We all have it. If we are on any self-realization path, we are all working on deprogramming and reprogramming to reach those moments of something amazing changing in us, of something sacred awakening in us.

Perspective

Perception is our mental construct or mental impression that creates our reality. What we actually see depends on what lens we are seeing through in the moment. It is our perception of reality that governs our perspective toward life. As we change, as we accomplish, as we achieve results, our perspective changes. To those who see life as constantly supporting a new iteration of one’s self, the beginner’s mind is very active.

An Enchanted Mind

Are you the harp? Are you the fingers? Are you the music? Are you all three? Why would you wait for the answer? Why not live as them all, in the enchantment that is ready for you?

Earth Day is Every Day

Pachamama will survive with or without humans, but we absolutely cannot survive without her. On this celebration of Earth Day, I encourage you to choose one natural living thing and connect to it. How you choose to connect – physically or through your mind’s eye – is up to you. If you are comfortable, meditate with the subject. Ask it for a message. Feel the energies that it carries. Extend a personal gesture of gratitude for its presence in your life.

When No One is Looking

Can we dance on our own? Sure! But ultimately, we know it is much more experiential to dance with another. To lead. To follow. To feel. To create. To inspire. Is it scary? Absolutely! So why dance? It is part of our nature. It is what increases our ability to blossom into our full human potential and affect the collective human potential.

Cracking Open the Egg

We all know the Easter story of Christianity in some level of detail. I’m going to tell the story in a very quick and simplified metaphysical and energetic view, relating back to the origins of one of the most popular symbols of the Easter season… the egg.

The Cheapest Room in the House

Where does fear begin and where does it end? Fear is the only thing that shrinks the closer and closer we get to it. Facing fears fosters faith. We can no longer live in the cheapest room of the house when we are empowered by Love rather than fear.

Do You Really Mean ALL Paths?

There is no way around the question on everyone’s mind… when will the US see the – now – common phrase “school shooting” removed from our news and our everyday vocabulary? What is ours to do, individually, to bring about change to the collective? What are others doing to bring about change to the collective? And most importantly, can we see and acknowledge a path that is different from our own? Not only different, but what might appear to be in direct opposition to the vision that we hold for non-violence? As we use our senses to experience the world we live in, we see things with our eyes and hear things with our ears that are seemingly unacceptable to us. Seemingly unacceptable to the path that we choose to walk. But does that make those things truly unacceptable in the grander vision of All Paths?

Compassionate Action

In that crucial moment, often that split second that we have to choose our next action… how do we culture a personal belief that we will always choose compassionate action? If the same energy creates every thing we have contact with, we have a choice to make about what kind of energy we wish to contribute to that every thing within our personal experience. When we choose compassionate action in situations that could be perceived as challenging, we become a reminder to ourselves that we can live in that space. We become a model for others that they can also live in that space.

Cause Without Effect

We can all give rise to an action. We choose our actions in every moment. Often because of a deep commitment to something within ourselves that we are prepared to defend or something larger than our self that we are prepared to advocate. When your passion for something creates a commitment within your core to give rise to take action, there is no doubt and no question that you will have an effect on another.

Advent as a Medicine Wheel

Growing up in a family that focused on Christian religions, I often heard about Advent but I never really connected to the origin or significance of it. I knew there was a wreath and candles that you lit leading up to Christmas. We never had an Advent wreath in our home, so to me it had no personal influence in my activities. It was simply something that “someone else did”. Over the past few years, I started to remember my deep connection to the medicine of indigenous cultures and I’ve immersed into the practices and rituals of Peruvian shamanism. And this holiday season, I had the ah-ha moment that connected the medicine wheel of my practice to the five candles of the Advent wreath.

Relating to Relations

We practice sending prayers and blessings and love light to a misguided and misunderstood terrorist across the globe, with hopes and intentions that their pain might be released from their heart for the sake of saving lives. Yet we tend to hold relatively high standards for those closest to us and we get triggered and offended at the slightest perceived inadequacy or indecency.

Boldly Going Nowhere

We don’t try to do anything besides be it, breathe it, exist with it. Because once it becomes us and we become it, there is no separation between who we are and who we are being. The outside influences don’t matter because the awakened heart is delicately weaving its threads through every thought, every word, every action, every decision, every movement. We be it. We are then Boldly Going Nowhere because there is no “where” to go to. We are it.

The Descending Path to Spirituality

Bypassing darkness and death will never allow for a full spiritual rebirth, a raising of consciousness, an up-leveling of vibration. We must descend to ascend. We must welcome the shadows to seek relentlessly to identify them with renewed clarity of vision.

Choosing Where to Give

When our motivation to serve is inspired through unconditional love, no amount of planning makes a difference in choosing – from each moment to the next – where to give our time, talents, and treasures. How we give will determine how we choose where, and when, to give. We can always choose to give to the present moment. Whatever that present moment brings.
